Sri Lanka National Chess Championship 2025, organized by the
Chess Federation of Sri Lanka, kicked off on
July 18 at the
Sports Ministry Pavilion, Torrington Square, Colombo 07. This prestigious annual event brings together the top chess masters of the country in a high-stakes round-robin tournament to determine the national champion.
With 13 rounds of classical chess and FIDE international rating stakes, this tournament is a defining battleground for Sri Lanka’s top players to test their endurance, preparation, and precision across nearly two weeks of mind games and strategy.
