The International Chess Federation (FIDE) and the Albanian Chess Federation proudly invite all national chess federations to take part in the 2025 FIDE World Youth Chess Championships, featuring categories for Under 14, Under 16, and Under 18 (Open and Girls). This prestigious global event will be held in Durrës, Albania, from October 3 (arrival) to October 16 (departure).
Each national federation is eligible to register:
- One official player per category (U14, U16, U18 – Open and Girls),
- One accompanying person per federation,
- all with valid FIDE IDs, and all officially invited by the organizers.
Players who secured 1st to 3rd place in the 2024 World Youth Championships or gold medalists from the latest Continental Youth Championships earn a personal qualification to compete in their respective or higher age categories in 2025.
