The following is a complete list of chess tournaments happening in Sri Lanka on June 2025.
1. Mora Kings Open International Rating Chess Tournament (June 06 -10)
7th Mora Kings International Open Rated Chess Championship, the only International Rated Tournament Organized by a University in Sri Lanka, with a prize fund of 1,300,000 LKR organized in University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka.
2. Sri Lanka National Premier Division Chess Tournament 2025 / National Senior Chess Tournament 2025 (June 13-22)
The ultimate chess tournament in Sri Lanka! The Chess Federation of Sri Lanka presents a FIDE-rated standard time control event at the Sports Ministry Pavilion, Torrington Square, Colombo 07. Organized by IA Wijesuriya, G Luxman, and arbitrated by IA Gunasena, H N Chathuranga, this features a 90-minute time control with a 30-second increment per move.
3. Asian Junior/Girls Chess Tournament 2025 (June 27-29)
This is the most prestigious Chess event for the Junior Chess Players in Asia. The Event will be held from 25th June to 3rd July at Citrus Hotel, Waskaduwa. We have published more details about this upcoming chess tournament in Sri Lanka.
